About the Author
Teacher, parent, and author—writing with warmth, intention, and a deep belief in the power of story.

A Teacher, Writer & Parent
Eric is a teacher, self-published author, and parent who believes that the best children's books feel like a quiet hug. His experience in the classroom shapes how he thinks about the way children learn and connect with stories. With a commitment to emotional learning, every story he writes is designed to support little ones as they navigate feelings, relationships, and the world around them.
Writing for children isn't about teaching lessons—it's about offering companionship. The goal is to create books that parents love to read aloud and children ask for again and again.
Writing Philosophy
I believe that picture books can do more than entertain—they can help children name their emotions, feel less alone, and build a sense of safety. My stories are built on simple, honest language and moments that families recognize: wonder, joy, and the gentle rhythm of paying attention to what's right in front of us.
Inspiration Behind “Come Here, Airplane!”
The inspiration came from my toddler calling for airplanes—and from her sheer joy and appreciation for everything around her. Watching her get so excited by a plane in the sky, and by the world right where she stood, brought my own awareness and joy into focus. I wanted to capture that moment: the wonder of looking up, the delight in what we notice when we slow down, and the way a child's enthusiasm can remind us to see the world with fresh eyes.
Commitment to Emotional Learning
Every book I write is designed with emotional development in mind. I work with themes like wonder, curiosity, mindfulness, and kindness— not as lessons to be taught, but as feelings to be felt and shared. When a child sees their own experience in a story, they feel seen. That seeing is what I'm here for.
